Product Description
The transmission of this chandelier provides for a grounded and nurtured foundation. Aiming up into the sky and imagining a dream for ourselves is done with both feet, firmly on the ground.
Aiming up doesn’t serve us if we don’t know where we are. To handle the first obstacles and resistance we’ll encounter on our adventure, we need to prepare the grounds.
The context of the foundation, all of the other virtues and the process of divine co-creation are presented in the Sakura guide, “Adopting the Sakura Lifestyle”.
Besides the presented fertilizers of the foundation, any four flowers can be chosen from the Virtues of Creation collection.
Handmade in Marrakesh
Every elements of these chandeliers are the fruits of our close collaboration with independent artisan ateliers in Marrakesh. The finishing touch and quality control of all the different elements is done in-house at the Sakura Living atelier. The creation and tuning of your chandelier is done by the artist himself in collaboration with your inputs.
Materials used:
- Brass (alloy of copper and zinc) and maillechort (alloy of copper, zinc & nickel).
- Glass: only the uncommon, first quality glass is used for our collections. It is available in four colors: bleu, red, amber and green. Besides this clear glass, we also use sanded glass and stained glass in several colors (see the Virtues of Creation collection).
- Root of the Thuja tree: the base of the lotus chandeliers are made out of the precious root of the thuja tree.
Traditional techniques used:
Different traditional techniques are integrated through-out the entire collection. These techniques include brass marquetry, cuttings with a chisel or with a small hand saw, hammering and shaping the brass elements. The brass is either soldered by flame of with a basic tool, heated above a small gas fire.
As all the elements are handmade and different flowers can be selected for each chandelier, small variations in dimensions and weight may apply. All dimensions and weight is mentioned as shown with the selected flowers and the dodecahedron.
Many hands are part of this process of co-creation and all this diversity combined, results in all unique expressions of light. It is a celebration of our human nature.

Trusting Life
The first choice to make on our journey is to trust life. Nature, as life’s purest manifestation, has the best track record, not just in surviving, but in manifesting its amazing potential. Considering this, trusting life should be the obvious choice.
Trusting ourselves and our connection with nature, AKA our intuition, is part of the journey.
